National Smile Month

text-page-imgThe Oral Health Foundation launched National Smile month, the UK’s largest and longest-running campaign to promote good oral health.. Local communities, schools and organisations are invited to take part with fun activities that high-light key messages that will help develop and maintain a healthy mouth. They are:

  • Brush your teeth last thing at night and on one other occasion with a fluoride toothpaste.
  • Cut down on how often you have sugary foods and drinks.
  • Visit your dentist regularly, as often as they recommend.
  • Note the dates for National Smile Month in your diary so you can plan ahead for events.
  • Organise activities for your school, such as, visits by local dentists to talk to pupils about their work or, alternatively, see if local dental practices will take your pupils on a visit to them to help become familiar with the sights, sounds and dental professionals.
